Yes, I'm behind in my reading. Leviticus was today, read that first, now I'm going back to yesterday's and am reading in Ephesians. This verse is very interesting: Ephesians 4:28: "Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth." How many people work to have a bigger house, a bigger car, vacations, luxuries? Now, how many people work so that they'll have money to help other people?! This verse doesn't talk about making money for ourselves, but so that we can help others who are in need. Oh what a world it would be if all the Christians would work for this purpose. How many could be helped?! Instead of buying a bigger house because you can afford it, what would happen if you stayed in the same house, but gave the difference between the mortgage payment you have now and the one you would have had, to the church, or to causes that help people. Would Christians even consider doing that?
Off my soapbox now.
